July 17, 2007 -- Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies today announced that it is using an advanced antimicrobial technology to reduce the spread of micro-organisms on its HandKey and HandPunch platens. All recently-ordered Schlage HandKey terminals for security applications and Ingersoll Rand HandPunch terminals for time and attendance will incorporate this technology. A special silver-based agent, using BioCote® technology, is embedded into the materials used to produce the platen of the biometric hand geometry units, providing a hygienic finish that resists bacterial degradation.
April 12, 2007 -- Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies today announced that Complejo Agroindustrial Beta, a Peruvian grower of fruits and vegetables for export to the USA and Europe, is using 29 Ingersoll Rand Recognition Systems HandPunch 3000 terminals in a 2000 acre field to record time and attendance, job functions and other data from its 3,000 workers. HandPunch readers automatically take a three-dimensional reading of the size and shape of a hand and verify the user’s identity in less than one second.

In the old days, corporations used to rely on people to recognize individuals by their looks, then as corporations grew they used PINs and ID Cards. However, today's complex corporate operations have rendered our old ways of verifying people's identities insecure and unreliable.
How can you be sure than an individual entering your corporate grounds is in fact the person they claim to be?
Schlage Recognition Systems offers biometric technology as a secure alternative to easily lost or compromised Cards and PINs. In less than one second our biometric technology uses biological characteristics such as hand geometry and fingerprints to verify and recognize a person's true identity.
Schlage Recognition Systems gives today's small and large corporations' true security. Our biometric technology is affordable and user friendly as it can be applied in most access control applications.
Schlage Recognition System's extensive research, manufacturing, and consulting experience with both hand geometry and finger fingerprint biometric technology, uniquely qualifies us to make sure that the right technology is applied to the right application.
